The main men behind this French progmetal project are the brothers Julien (g) and Maxime Putigny (b). After years of playing the club circuit of Lyon, they started Atlantyca with the assistance of drummer Laurent Falso. They spent a lot of time writing songs and recording demos until they drew the attention of the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council and Brennus Music. The recordings of the debut album, called “To Nowhere And Beyond”, started in September 2010. Instead of searching for a suitable vocalist, the threesome opted to invite four famous singers: Edu Falaschi (Almah, Angra), Paul Shortino (King Kobra, Quiet Riot, Rough Cutt), Andy Kuntz (Abydos, Vanden Plas) and David Steele (session singer for Bon Jovi, The Cult, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe a.o.). Lyrical wise the guys wanted to avoid obvious topics like fantasy and sf, and went for ‘deeper’ subjects like the secrets of life and existence. For a debut album, the result is certainly OK, but I’m sure these Frenchmen have more upon their collective sleeves than they show here. Let’s wait and see what the future brings … ( CL)

I like this album. It's a little more prog rock than prog metal. the singers are great and the songwriting is good. I would recommend if you like any of the bands of the guest singers.
