AOR & melodic (hard) rock

Just like Belgium, Spain doesn’t make a fist when it comes to the existence of many good AOR/melodic bands. Worth mentioning in Belgium were/are Mystery and Frozen Rain and in the case of Spain I’m thinking of 91 Suite and Nexx. One other band from over there is Eden Lost, that released its debut album “Road Of Desire” through AOR Heaven in 2005. In my review I called it an OK album, nothing more … nothing less. Like so many other bands, I had completely forgotten about them until – out of the blue – I found a review copy of their second album in my mailbox.
Almost seven years after their debut album this six piece band now returns with the aptly titled “Breaking The Silence” album, released by Spanish label Vaso Music last February and coinciding with the 10th anniversary of their “2002” demo, at the time recorded in order to conquer a deal with Vinny Records. The album contains 12 original songs, written by main men Prieto (v), Nieto (g) and Laso (g). Having listened to it a couple of times, I can only conclude that it is another good release, but again not well enough to force an international breakthrough, something the band and its manager desperately want to achieve. Best track of the bunch is “Locked In Your Heart”, which proves that these guys have something to offer … (CL)

I've found just two tracks and a preview from this album on Youtube, and I've liked them a lot, but now I wish more. I love to collect this kind of good cult/underground hard rock bands (not so many spanish bands come out from there), but the pity is the fucking difficulty of buying or downloading these records. I hope they'll get bigger soon so I can get a copy of this in Finland... or maybe even see them touring aoround here... Perkele! :D

I saw them once on tour with TNT when I was on holidays in Spain. I must admit I DON'T like spanish rock-metal... but this band really knows how to rock!! I send them my best wishes, and hope to see them soon in Germany, where I think they are selling well this new album (I bought it through AOR Heaven online shop, and strongly recommend it).
