power/heavy/other metal

What do you get when you make yourself an all-star band with members of well-known power metal bands Stratovarius, Evergrey & Mystic Prophecy? A very 80's sounding hard rock/metal band with Southern influences, of course! And combine that with the amazing talent Laki Ragazas of Paul Di'Anno's touring band and you get an awesome hardrock/metal band with eighties tendencies. Bet you didn't see that one coming, right?
"We're all totally into riff-based blues rock and rock 'n' roll along the lines of bands such as Bad Company, Blue Murder and Badlands", Liapakis explains and he is ever so right because that's exactly what this band sounds like. It's been a while since I've heard this kind of hard hittin' rock executed so well and what Mr. Ragazas showcases on this record, ladies and gentlemen, propels this musician straight to the premier league. This is power, this is melody, this is every-song-a-big-chorus, this is, in short, pure craftsmanship. Highlights-a-plenty: "Room 66/64", "Find New Love", "Fire And Water", "Roll The Dice", practically every song is a highlight on this platter. But don't take my word for it, find or steal yourselves a copy and be amazed. (KVK)

as rk just said "Kick Ass' album from start to finish, this is a great Metal/Hard Rock album superb riffs and awesome production, the solos are pretty damn good too especially when using the Wah Wah on soloing ( I do the same myself) whatever you want to call it it's a great CD to put in the car fro my hour drive to work!!

Kick ass band...hard rockin' bluesy stuff but with an ominous metal edge...PlanB decribes it perfectly...sit back crack a beer and blast the hell out of this...it sounds better with some volume.

A pleasant change of pace for me this one. The d-tuned guitars coupled with a great vocalist just make this CD stand out lately from all the stuff I have been listening too. They call this heavy metal? I don't agree, this is hard rock served on a bed of metal and a side order of blues. Buy this and crank it up, because it can take it.

Yeah, it's decent...I like some of the stuff quite a bit. Singer has been in a buncha bands, but Mystic Prophecy is still his bread and butter. A rockin' version of American Woman rounds out a non-essential but enjoyable effort.

..some decent bluesy old-school hard rock. Great production! Worth a listen, one or two outstanding tracks, although none of the songs goes on for longer than 3.5 minutes ...over too quickly

Mystic Prophecys singer, good metal but i prefer his ordinary band
