Of all four albums Alias Eye have released before this here “In-Between” effort, I still like “Field Of Names” most. Since then the band members have experimented a lot, but the good news is that “In-Between” sees them return to the more melody driven arrangements of the “FON” album. Not all tracks are as good though and as such I have some difficulties with songs like the title track “In-Between”, “All The Rage” and the album’s closer, “The Blink Of An Eye”. Among the better cuts are opener “Arabesque”, “Break What We Know” and “Take What’s Mine”. Conclusion: “In-Between” is surely better than its rather poor predecessor “In Focus”, but not yet as good as their semi-classic “Field Of Names” (2001). (
