Karuna is a melodic metal band from Ireland. When they were known as Dark Crystal, they played a mix of neo-classical and power metal. Slowly but surely they have evolved into a more straight ahead melodic power metal act, laying stress on fast and powerful riffing, catchy melodies and big choruses. “Neitherworld” is nothing else than a self-financed 3-track EP to show the labels what the band members are capable of today. None other than Karl Groom has produced the vocals and we all know what an expert this man is! Also noteworthy is the guitar solo in “The Lost”, provided by Italian guitar shredder Stefano Droetto, and the attractive logo and cover artwork by Markus Sigfridsson. As far as I’m concerned, these guys deserve to be signed. (
