The driving forces behind this brand-new Danish pop rock band are lead vocalist Juruda and keyboard player Lars Boutrup. Not only did they write all songs for this debut album, “The Magic Queen”, they also provided them with a crystal-clear production. To be honest, I have doubted to include a review of Juruda Music’s debut in these pages, because it’s more pop than rock what I hear. But … because it’s almost Christmas time and JM’s songs are about ‘love, life and wonder’, I thought: why not give the smooth pop rock (with some folk influences thrown in for good measure) of this lady and her four gentlemen a chance? So, if you’re in for a portion of laidback stuff, you know where to find it. (
