Nobodies, a band from Norway, is made up of 5 guys who are already a couple of years active in the local club circuit. I’ve been told that the circuit holds at least 3 clubs & a desolate dogpound in the North. These guys have been busy…
Anyway, the setlist on their many live dates consisted of AC/DC covers & the lot and those influences can easily be heard in their own brand of songs on ‘Oh Yes, There Will Be Blood’.
The album holds 9 straightforward rock ‘n’ rollers with the highlights being ‘The Batcave’, ‘Nice Rack’, ‘Ride’ & ‘The Hit ‘N’ Run’.
Deep philosophical essays of the human psyche should not be expected, it’s more everlasting parties and the accompanying favorite female body parts of the various members of the band kind of thing.
Nothing special, extraordinary or even original but that was surely never the intention of this Norwegian bunch. What it does make for is a feelgood & streetwise album filled with songs made for cruising in/on your favorite ride.
Be sure to check out the ‘hidden’ song ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’, a cover of the wellknown Ramones tune, but with a heavy German accent. Great stuff! (
