New Jersey-born Bobby Messano may be a noble unknown to most but after my small lecture you will most likely think otherwise.
Namedropping all the bands this guitar player lend a hand to would be too complicated but know that, amongst others, he was member of Franke & The Knockouts and before that, of the Starz. He has also played with Glen Hughes, Steve Winwood, Lou Gramm... I could go on for some time to come but I'm sure you got the picture by now.
And in between all these helping out other artists activities he managed to release 2 solo albums of which this one is the first.
Originally unleashed in 1989, and now re-mastered with 5 bonus tracks, it’s a typical late 80’s melodic rock record: fun is the oprative word in the lyrical department, guitars are pumping & grinding all over the place & mister messano is the owner of a halfway decent, but soulful voice. And the latter could be the album's weak spot for some of you. A lot of times he reminded me of a young Michael Bolton, equally soulful, but not nearly as recognizable & trained as Mister Bolton.
It’s the only minor point (well, it was for me anyway) of an otherwise excellent melodic rock album. (

YNGWIEVIKING
very typical soft HARD ROCK from New JERSEY ! Ok , but i agree with the fact that the vocals are not outstanding ! This one is a collector item since many years now and 5bts that's enough for the fans of ALDO NOVA or BLACK JACK to think about this one !
