In the past way too many glam/sleaze bands have been compared to the high & mighty Mötley Crüe.. As if there was/is nothing else outthere to compare bands to. I’ll have to make an exception, though, with this Gothenburg based band rocking proudly under the moniker of Sister Sin. Because the sonical outburst of this sinful-sister-fronted band does just that: pay tribute to the legendary LA foursome.
The EP, their second one, we received at RR HQ is an amazingly rocking affair, let me tell you that. The platter blasts off with a mean pumping uppercut called ‘Hostile-Violent’ and pounds relentless on our eardrums until the last bars of closer ‘All Systems Go!’. By the way, for aspiring bands, if you want to hear how a brilliant chorus is to be sung/played & arranged: listen to ‘On Parole’. Everything you will ever need to know is right there. What a song…
In short: take an updated Mötley Crüe "Shout At The Devil"-era sound, add a dose of low, mean and dirty but especially powerful female vocals & a truckload of fearsome backing vocals on all songs, shake it up and you have an extremely volatile musical cocktail called Sister Sin!
If reading this hasn't gotten your blood pumping in all the right lower regions, then you've probably picked the wrong review! (

I hope they can manage a full cd next time around. I agree w/ MM.

Imagine 'Shout At The Devil-era' Motley Crue riffs mixed with Skew Siskin-style vocals and you have Sister Sin. Pure raunchy sleaze rock at it's finest. I dig this band and have for over 3 years. Check 'em out!!!
