AOR & melodic (hard) rock

Having toured through twelve countries as support of HammerFall and Stratovarius didn’t do Swiss hard rock combo Shakra any harm. On the contrary, it has surely turned them into an even stronger live band than they already were.
Fans had to wait 19 months for a follow-up of “Fall”, but “Infected” comes up to all their expectations. The album counts a total of 13 tracks, that can be divided in three categories: heavy, up-tempo rockers, epic-like hard rock tracks and of course a couple of obligatory ballads. It’s the third album that features Mark Fox as lead vocalist and although he’s not as good as his predecessor Pete Wiedmer, he has grown with each Shakra album that was released in the past years. Musically Shakra plays in the same vein as they fellow countrymen Gotthard, but Gotthard keep outshining them easily.
Recorded in Thom Blunier’s own Power Ride Studios, this is a no-nonsense hard rock album you can’t go wrong with. Available in two formats: as a standard CD and as a limited edition digipak, featuring the bonus track “Let ‘Em Have It”. (CL)

One of Shakra's best with all their trademarks. Love the guitar.

GREAT NEW CD if you enjoy the "fall" album , you'll love this one too !

Luv this CD...much better than Fall...more crunch and the songs and riffs are a lot better & heavier...the productions great...a fine return to the Shakra sound we know and love.

The best yet from the Mark Fox era. I like this better than 'Fall' simply because it's more Shakra-esque than the last one. Get the digi w/bonus track...it's worth it!

Hard rock played with energy and filled with big hook's is what Shakra are all about . Good time rock'n'roll that should keep the RR posse happy . Nice one
