Arrival is a Swiss AOR/melodic rock band, founded by vocalist/keyboard player Thomas Lustenberger and guitarist Sascha Happle. Although Lustenberger’s name doesn’t ring a bell immediately, I’m sure a lot of you out there will remember him from acts like Zero, Angi Schiliro (“White Lady”) and Emergency (“Boys Will Be Boys”). He and Happle met each other for the first time in the band Palace Of Art, but although an album was recorded halfway the 90s, it never saw the light of day and both guys went their own way for almost a decade. A couple of years ago, Lustenberger and Happle stumbled upon each other again and as the old chemistry was still there, they soon decided to start a brand-new band, which they called Arrival. With David Jegge (b) and Jess Montini (d) on board, they recorded the album “Life Is A Show” and I’m quite pleased with it, as it is filled with songs that remind me of all those fine American AOR/melodic rock acts from the 80s. Life is a show, so we all better enjoy it and how can we do that better than with this Arrival? (
