I don't know how many of you follow closely follow the Polish prog scene, but - if you're into the genre - there's a big chance you've heard of Collage, who released a handful of respected neo prog albums throughout their recording career. The band's drummer and (co-)songwriter Wojtek Szadkowski formed a project of his own back in 2000, yet without any plans to ever record. Through the years, Szadkowski wrote more and more material and got in contact with a lot of interesting musicians who liked the idea of helping him out if he ever wanted to record an album. In 2003 time had come to do so and "A Street Between Sunrise And Sunset" was released. The neo progressive rock in the vein of IQ and Marillion immediately appealed to specialised press and the dedicated public, amongst whom yours truly who had only been successful in finding the album on the Internet. I had more luck in that respect with Satellite's second album "Evening Games". Already released in 2004/2005, I'm still picking it up in these columns thanks to the kind people at Metal Mind Productions, but most of all because I think it deserves to be mentioned.
Just as its predecessor, "Evening Games" is full of beautifully crafted, well produced, timeless neo prog and art rock that can be compared with the works of bands as IQ, Marillion, RPWL, Spock's Beard and their fellow countrymen of Riverside. In fact, if you like Riverside, but prefer your prog to be a bit softer, you're really recommended to check this out. Epic songs as the opening title track or shorter cuts as ballad "Love Is Around You" and the splendid "Why": Szadkowski brings it all to a very good end. Let's hope there's a third disc in the pipeline as we write! (SL)

For me Satellite is just as good as all the English prog / sympho bands .
I already liked their debut album and this one is even better . If you are into classy prog rock with all the right ingredients then you just have to buy this album .

Great CD!!Melodic Guitar driven music in the neo-prog vein. As good as or better than their previous album. I've had this CD for about a year and it is still in the CD player quite often. Find some samples on the net and check them out.

Great new neo prog band. If your into bands like IQ, Pallas, Riverside & Porcupine Tree you'll probably some tunes you'll like on this CD. Not so into the single "Love Is Around You" it's kind of mellow and too Steve H era Marillion sounding for me...but the rest of the tunes are real good.
