Well, I have to admit that these guys have a strange history. I won’t even mention the word ‘career’ because there wasn’t any.
The original line-up (with singer Mike Reid) released the by now legendary & much sought after 7” ‘Angel Of Sin’/’Sacrificial Wanderer’ and that was it. Lights out. Up until now, that is. I read somewhere that the band made a demo around 2002, and that must have been what got them under the attention of & signed by Majestic Rock.
What’s on offer here will be a great treat for the ones who still crave for that classic 80’s metal sound, when songwriting was still a top priority and the beloved genre to many had not befallen to extremities of blast-beats & hideous stage antics as masks & corps-paint.
On the contrary, what we have here are 10 perfectly arranged vintage British metal songs full of twin guitars, crystal clear voices & ready made for stages around the world. Pick up those studded wrist bands & that old Demon shirt because you’ll soon need them if it’s up to Rekuiem (the former Requiem, by the way, but I think you gathered that already).
The only thing that has changed from the original line-up is singer Paul Parry, and as I cannot compare mister Parry to the original one, I can just say that the singing of the ‘newcomer’ is more than up to par & fits in perfectly with the (to my ears) never outdated sound that was NWOBHM.
Highlights? None to be found. Everything is a highlight here, from the fist raising riffs of ‘Sinners’, over the remake of ‘Angel Of Sin’ to the metalled-up cover of Black Sabbath’s ‘Paranoid’.
Great stuff & one of the surprises of 2006. (

Gloobey, I read your comments, and agree with you 100%. This is a fantastic album and deserves to sell by the bucketload. The outro guitar solo on "Sacrificial Wanderer" sends chills up my spine. The riffs on 'NIghtmare' and chorus on 'Werewolf' are astonishing. One of my top three albums for 2006. BUY!!!!!!!!!
