Not counting last year’s two re-issues - “… Waiting For The Tide” (2nd album) and “A Work Of Art” (3rd album) - this “Walking On h2o” is Mind’s Eye’s first album in four years and to come straight to the point: it surpassed my wildest expectations.
Mind’s Eye’s fourth studio album is a concept piece originated from the brain of drummer and keyboard player Daniel Flores. Except for two tracks that he co-wrote with bass player/guitarist Johan Niemann, he has written the whole album and confronts the listener with his thoughts on various subjects like deadly viruses, earth pollution, human evolution, immortality, marriage, religion, science, etc. The aim was a cinematic rock album with songs that were individually so strong that they could stand their own ground, simultaneously fitting the concept of the album. Well, hats off to Mr Flores, because he has certainly reached that goal. What we get here musically, is highly accessible progressive rock, with a strong emphasis on melodies, hooks and great choruses. Wow, that’s how I like my daily dose of progrock! Although Mind’s Eye consists of only three musicians, they constantly show how good they can hold their ground. With an excellent Andreas Novak on vocals and an indispensable Johan Niemann on bass and guitars, Mr Flores is surely surrounded by the best possible partners.
Since I have found this album in my (always hungry) mailbox, I have been playing it every day and to be honest … this is something I can’t say about every album released by Lion Music (although the overall quality has become better and better lately).
Recorded at Flores’ new built studio Sound vs. Science, mastered by Mats Lindfors and presented behind some of Mattias Norén’s best artwork ever, this is an album that all who love a mix between progressive and classic hard rock can’t do without. First progrock highlight of the year. Don’t miss it! (CL)

Not much to say about this stunning piece of work. Mind's Eye have released a beautiful album with the greatest work yet from both Andreas Novak and Daniel Flores!
Together with the new Vanden Plas, my albums of the year so far.

UTTERLY INDISPENSIBLE! It's only January but this sets a very high standard to equal amongst the propgressive metal fraternity in 2006!

This CD is as good as everyone says it is...so there is no need to add to the others comments. A great all around CD from songs to production.

For sure the best Mind's Eye album untill now and it proves again how talented Daniel Flores is . I also love the vocals of Andreas Novak who gives the songs an extra injection of genius and also the sound of the album is great .
Let's hope Lion Music can keep on releasing albums from this quality some more in the future .

I already heard some sound samples of this album a while ago and yes indeed, the sound is great. Daniel Flores is not only a very talented drummer, he also knows how to write strong tunes and how to do a great production job !!!
