Great album...I agree with Modulator & Jeffwasp...this is their best CD in a long while...I don't loose intrest like on the last few...great CD by a great band...like this one a lot better than the new Lions Share also Jeff.

I agree 100% with Modulator. This is a stunning album and the best they have done since "Evil if Forever" (I actually like the current slab more than EIF). All of the songs rock, the solos are sublime, and Johansson has never sung better. I much prefer this to Lion's Share, whose last album for me at least was a huge disappointment. Certainly this album will be of the highlights of the year and will enjoy many spins on my CD player.

I would say a solid CD, the vocals have been toned down a bit from their previous CD's not as raspy.

i'm with yngwie here, it's good but not as their early ones

YNGWIEVIKING (on 14/02/10)

Quite disappointed !
Even the mighty Nils Patrik JOHANSSON -SPACE ODYSSEY-LION's SHARE-WUTHERING HEIGHTS-does not sound like he used to Sounded !
Very generic and without any kind of surprise !
Better stuff to buy in this sort of METAL

Class as Mark says from start to finish, brilliant vocals once again and great songs. Buy.

Modulator (on 13/02/10)

Another great album from Astral Doors! No average songs! Great band!

Metal Mark (on 12/02/10)

Totally classy Dio/Rainbow-esque power metal. Almost too many songs (especially if you get the bonus 15th track Stockholm Bloodbath.) Maybe not their best, but cut out 2/3 tracks and it's another notch in an otherwise great catalog.
