News update # 10
In the beginning of 2005, after completion of the second Section A album and his third all instrumental release, Danish guitarist Torben Enevoldsen began to write some new material. The style came to be very melodic hard rock with a hard hitting edge and the idea of FATAL FORCE was born. The first FF album, which was released in the spring of 2006, featured Mats Levén (ex-At Vance, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) on vocals and Daniel Flores (XsavioR, Mind’s Eye) on drums. Enevoldsen kept busy with various projects and also joined Danish rock legends Fate, but still found the time to work on new Fatal Force songs. All the new tracks were completed by the end of 2009, but schedules never aligned for the initial line-up, so Enevoldsen decided to make some changes. Michael Vescera (ex-Loudness, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) joined the band in early 2010. He wrote the lyrics and recorded the vocals in his own studio in Nashville. New drummer Dennis Hansen recorded the drums at Enevoldsen's studio and the production was completed at the end of the year 2011. Entitled “Unholy Rites”, the second release from Fatal Force will be released by Metal Heaven on July 20.
Mario de Riso from FRONTIERS RECORDS was so kind to mail me the following: “Hi Chris, in RR’s release schedule I’m seeing some records listed as ‘upcoming’ on Frontiers, which will not see the light of day. I am talking of the Gregg Giuffria solo album (cancelled after a fire destroyed GG’s studio), The Storm album (never really announced) and Burning Rain (it may become something different, we have yet to see).” Those three items are now removed from the list.
PRAYER is back! It has been seven years since we were presented with the album “Wrong Address”, which really set the pace way back in 2005 and gained the band a cult following. ”Danger In The Dark” is the title of their brand-new album, which boasts catchy tunes with lots of double guitars and great keyboards. All songs have been written by Tapani Tikkanen, who is the driving force behind the band. Tapani’s musical career began in the early eighties with IC-Rock and later continued with Tanna. Together with those bands he did hundreds of gigs all over Finland, but after several albums and more than 20,000 records sold, it was time for a break. However, he kept writing songs, such as three albums for the craziest football club in the world, F.C.Rainbow, and a solo single entitled “Everyone’s A Winner”. Tapani wanted to create a band that brought out his rock and roll heart. After the recording of a few demos, he contacted his friend and keyboard wizard Jari Huvila to talk about forming the band Prayer. Since “Wrong Address” there has been a line-up change, which now features distinguished keyboards player Mika Pohjola. Prayer play exciting melodic hard rock with hints of Saga, Treat and Royal Hunt. Their music has meaning and these guys are all committed to making this one of the most talked about releases in 2012. Anyone with a penchant for soaring vocals, driving guitars and plenty of keyboards are in for a real treat. It’s as if all your prayers have been answered.

A new DELAIN album, called “We Are The Others”, will be released by Roadrunner on June 1.
Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the signing of MILLION $ RELOAD for the release of their second album, entitled “A Sinner’s Saint” on June 29 in Europe and July 2 in North America. Formed in Northern Ireland in 2005, Million $ Reload started immediately to learn their breed playing live in the local club circuit leaving behind them a trail of fans hungry for more. Their catchy anthemic tunes soon gained them a recording deal, which culminated with the release of the debut album “Anthems Of A Degeneration” in 2008. A tour-de-force of vast hooks, killer riffs and moments of joyous, snake-hipped abandon, with shades of everyone from AC/DC and Aerosmith through to Thin Lizzy and Thunder confirming that these young Irishmen know their history and salute it with style, while also displaying a powerful and compelling character and atmosphere that is all their own. The band toured heavily in support of the album and shared stages with Thunder, The Darkness, Buckcherry, Papa Roach and more. This has further pushed the band’s abilities. The result is the new killer album, “A Sinner’s Saint”, which has sparkled the attention from the Italian label Frontiers Records which immediately signed the band upon hearing the new stuff the Irish five piece created. WIGELIUS is a sensational new AOR band from Sweden, built around the talent of Anders Wigelius, a gifted young vocalist who came to the attention of producer Daniel Flores after he sung the popular Journey song “Don’t Stop Believin’” in a contest on the national Swedish TV. Being a true melodic rock/AOR fan, Anders grew up with music from Richard Marx, Toto, Journey and Foreigner and played AOR covers in a band, called Gamblers, before going his own way with his own band. Anders is in his early 20s, which is an advantage when creating new ways of marketing modern AOR. He plays guitars and keyboards and also writes music for other bands and has been quite successful with that. His older brother, Erik Wigelius, plays drums. This is a hit, hungry, horny and amazingly talented new band, plus they look amazingly good. Wigelius is also all about having fun! Without the enthusiasm for the music and lots of laughs during the process, “R3inv3nt1ons" would have never sounded as energetic and big as it does now. The collaboration turned out to be a perfect match of people sharing the same vision in making music together. The best still lies ahead! Everyone in the band is very excited to be a part of it! BTW, Harry Hess mastered the album.
