Marble to release "A.t.G.o.d"
North-Italian metal band Marble have signed a deal with Y Records for the release of their first full length album "A.t.G.o.d". All songs are published by Warner Chappell.
The album was recorded at Old Ones Studios, except drums, which were recorded at NumberOne Studio, and was produced by Giulio Capone (Bejelit, Drakkar, Betoken).
The artwork was made by German artist Joerg Warda ( http://www.warda.de ).

Saana - Warrior Of Light Pt. 1 - Journey To Crystal Island
”Saana -Warrior Of Light” is the first rock opera composed by Timo Tolkki. It took over a year to make the working hours totalling close to 3,000. This piece combines music, graphics and video in a way that has never been done before. Mixing conventional rock instruments with choirs, classical percussionists and a string ensemble blended seamlessly with cinematic influences, Saana is a breathtaking experience of emotions and dynamics. Saana features Jennifer Sowle from the USA singing the title role as Saana, Aino Laos from England as Freya and Heikki Pöyhiä from Finland as Damian.
Saana challenges its listener with a spectacular story of a woman who is about to end her life, but is suddenly stopped by what seems to be a caring stranger ,who takes her on a journey that will change her life forever. Not only will she discover her destiny and find out her purpose, but she will also discover the biggest secret mankind has ever known. The final battle between good and evil has started.
Saana varies from quiet emotional moments of beauty to unseen heights of despair and hopelesness and in itself carries a message that burns like the brightest flame. That message you must discover yourself. For Saana, Timo Tolkki did not choose the easiest way to create a rock opera. He wanted to film the story as well because he felt it needed the visual element. It stands on its own, but only when you see the DVD with Dolby Digital surround sound, will you experience the full drama of Saana-Warrior Of Light Pt 1.
Saana is a revolutionary concept also in the ways it is been released. Seeing where the music industry is currently headed, Timo Tolkki decided to release the album in all its configurations only through his own website. Ex-Tigertailz hero joins Gypsy Pistoleros
U.S born, Ace Finchum (ex-Tigertailz legend of a drummer) has joined the Gypsy Pistoleros!
The Pistoleros have just signed to Blastzone Entertainment who will handle all things Gypsy Pistoleros in the US.
Releasing "Para Siempre" the new CD (Out now in Europe & Scandinavia through Bad Reputation ) in the U.S in July, through Nightmare Records & Distribution, KOCH USA and Canada. A limited edition 500 Albums will be pressed & released on Red Vinyl !
Gypsy Pistoleros will also be doing a US tour from late June till Aug. 9th 2008.
Including Rocklahoma 2008 on July 11th headlining the Tri-label stage to promotre the album.
Further bookings will be handled through Ugly But Proud out of Detroit, MI.
They also begin servicing radio with the first single from Gypsy Pistoleros "Para Siempre" album ,which is "Livin La Vida Loca".

White Wolf - Live In Germany
Whitewolf have had a busy 2007. They have returned to the limelight with the release of their new CD “Victim Of The Spotlight” (ESM155). Not only that but a double digipack reissue (ESM157) of their celebrated eighties outings “Standing Alone” (1984) and “Endangered Species” (1986) has hit the streets, with a few bonus video clips to add to the excitement. In September 2007 the band were asked to play the UFOR festival in Ludwigsburg, Germany and since that legendary performance they have added many new fans to their already loyal following. The six seasoned musicians rocked the enthusiastic crowd right from the start and with an exciting and varied set Whitewolf turned out one great song after another. The audience were truly amazed at the sheer power of the dual guitar attack of Scott Web and original member Cam MacLeod backed with the intense rhythm of Russ Bergquist and Brendan Ostrander. Strong keyboards were supplied by David J Petovar as well as frontman Don Wolf who gave the vocal performance of his life. White Wolf are legends, make no mistake and this is a worthy addition to your collection. With the 2007 release of the third White Wolf album “Victim Of The Spotlight” (ESM155) and the reissue of the two earlier albums then the future is bright for this Canadian sixpiece. The Wolf shall prowl once more, this is a fantastic live performance and essential for anyone wishing to experience the sheer power of this magnificent hard rock band.
White Wolf’s “Live In Germany” will be released by Escape Music on May 21, 2008.

Ronnie Sweetheart & The Strip Club Devils, a relatively new kick ass rock 'n roll band formed around the former The Throbs throat that also includes Mr. Nasty six stringer Scott, were recently confronted with a change in line-up. Bass player Raven (also with Mr. Nasty) decided he wanted out and in came Blaine Horn. Blain was once a member of Sunset Strip regulars Vaudeville, Juicy Miss Lucy and Full Metal Racket before moving back to NY 7 years ago.
The band are currently demoing new songs and they will start recording very soon. They are however not sure if they will do a full blown CD or release the stuff online. New shows are also being booked as we speak.

Progress Records sign Unifaun
The Swedish progressive rock band Unifaun has reached an agreement with Progress Records. They describe themselves as "The Genesis soundscape project formerly known as Sylvan & Bonamici". If you ask them about influences the answer is clear: "Genesis 1972 -1980". And that is exactly what they sound like, a mix of Genesis different stages between 1972 - 1980, with emphasis on 1975 -76. The debut album will be released on June 27.

Kip Winger travels from the moon to the sun
Frontiers Records are proud to announce the European release of the brand new Kip Winger album, entitled “From The Moon To The Sun” on May 9, 2008.
Eight years after the release of the acclaimed “Songs From The Ocean Floor”, a record which was labelled as a masterpiece by several music critics around the world and a successful reunion of the band Winger, Kip Winger returns with a true career defining statement and, once again, another CD which witnesses the creative evolution of the American composer.
“I am an artist who will continue to push the envelope into the direction that my ear and abilities are taking me, with no compromise”, says Kip, adding “I worked hard to make this record my best yet. For sure it is musically very diverse … hence the title ‘From The Moon To The Sun’”.
The music offered on the record is truly a flow that has no boundaries, from the fresh rock approach of songs like “Every Story Told”, “Nothing” or “Reason To Believe”, to the pop sensibilities of “Where Will You Go” and “California”, to the acoustic mood of “Pages And Pages” and “In Your Eyes Another Life”, down to the unbelievable instrumental piece “Ghosts”, “From The Moon To The Sun” brings the listener to a journey in a kaleidoscope of different moods.
The album sees also musical contributions from Rod Morgenstein and Ken Mary on drums, Andy Timmons and Rob Eberhard Young on guitar, Alan Pasqua on piano and Cenk Eroglu on songwriting, keyboards and guitars.

Picture reünie (Dutch only)
De Nederlandse heavy metal pioniers van Picture zijn weer bij elkaar in de sterkste historische bezetting!
Rinus Vreugdenhil (bas), Laurens “Bakkie” Bakker (drums), Jan Bechtum (gitaar), Pete Lovell (zanger op “Eternal Dark” en “Traitor”) en Rob van Enkhuizen (gitarist op de laatste LP “Marathon”) hebben elkaar weer gevonden om een plaat te maken en shows te doen.
Nadat Picture vanaf vorig jaar te vinden was op YouTube en MySpace begonnen de positieve reacties vanuit de hele wereld binnen te stromen. Reden genoeg voor de jongens om de draad weer op te pakken en klassiekers als “Bombers”, “Heavy Metal Ears”, “Diamond Dreamer”, “Eternal Dark”, “Griffons Guard The Gold” en de nog steeds veelvuldig gedraaide ballad “You’re Touching Me” in een 2008 jasje te gooien.
Picture speelt als enige Nederlandse band op Sweden Rock (4-7 juni met o.a. Whitesnake, Judas Priest, ELO, Def Leppard) voor 50.000 bezoekers en zal weldra ook op andere buitenlandse festivals spelen. In Nederland vindt op 18 april een try-out plaats in De Peppel in Zeist en op 24 mei wordt de laatste opwarmer voor Zweden gedaan in De Nieuwe Pul in Uden. Er wordt hard gewerkt aan een nieuw “Anno 2008” repertoire en ook verschijnt er dit jaar een compilatie album met de beste Picture klassiekers, aangevuld met uniek bonusmateriaal.
