Phil LEWIS & Steve RILEY are palying in this album ,,hollywood forever" released by deadline Music...Not bad at all and very traditional stylistically...I suppose that Mid era fans will be more than pleased !

Hello MM,
Firstly, let me tell you that I'm glad to see you back.
Secondly, about your question ( ), yes I listen to some cool things. I've recently got the latest SONATA ARCTICA's opus, plus newbie ESTRELLA's opus. Add to those two albums, others which come from past like VANDEN PLAS (I've not got time to listen it carefully), DYONISUS, LAST TRIBE, REBELLION, LEVERAGE, ...
Best,
Axl'

So, here we go! In no particular order:
----
SONATA ARCTICA - Stones Grow Her Name
-> An interesting opus, my second album from the band to be honnest. Well, I think it will become a grower. Time will tell! I need more time to catch the "spirit" of SGHN!

LEVERAGE - Circus Colossus
-> Absolute winner! As said previously in another topic, it's an 00's masterpiece. I'm wondering about the future of the band... No news for three years! Today, I sent an email to the band... Wait and see!

REBELLION - Sagas Of Iceland
-> Not a joke! I bought it! Nice german Heavy-Metal. Just disappointed about one point: no pipers! I've thinked that, due to their bonds with GRAVE DIGGER, they included this elements...

ESTRELLA - Come Out To Play
-> DEF LEPPARD met a shy BON JOVI and then ESTRELLA wa born! A nice band, nice opus but too many songs!

LAST TRIBE - Uncrowned
-> It reminds me of SOMEWHERE INTO NOWHERE. I like it!

DIONYSUS - Sign Of Truth
-> Nice, but a little bit disappointed! I've hoped an EDGUY clone and that's not really the case!

JADED HEART - Common Destiny
-> Fourth release from german band, "Common Destiny" is dedicated to all lovers of the band. I mean all those who don't think only about and are fond of Bormann JADED HEART's era, but those who think about and are fond of the entire discography. "Common Destiny" sounds loud, melodic, hard and heavy. This is a good achievement for this new line-up! How many people have bet on them, when they started? Well, let me recap' about those four albums: "Helluva Time", "Sinister Mind", "Perfect Insanity" were KILLER albums!!! And now add another killer one: "Common Destiny"! Enjoy it!

@guitarman

Jettblack, in my humble opinion, reminds me of good 80s melodic hard rock like Dokken, Winger & Y&T. Never knew there were 2 lead singers in the band until I saw the "Raining Rock" video and the other guitarist was singing. Had only seen the video for the title cut from their debut 'Get Your Hands Dirty,' where the other guitarist was singing. Both great vocalists AND guitarist! Great band....and I love Udo comin' in as a bonus and adding vocals to the new title track. Good stuff!

Pure old school Manowar...no orchestra....no concept...just the stuff we grew up on as young metal heads! Been waitin' for something like this since 'Kings Of Metal.' Love the title track, Manowarriors and Expendable!
