EDENBRIDGE on tour in the U.K
Following on from his very succesful efforts at getting Pagan's Mind to do an "add on tour" following their slot at ProgPower earlier this year Craig at click2rock.net has organised a small U.K tour for Austrian band EDENBRIDGE, with support from the U.K band ADASTREIA in what promises to be "an evening of angelic symphonic rock".
The dates/venues are:
Monday 13th November - BRADFORD bradfordrio.com/index Tuesday 14th November - STRATFORD-UPON-AVON coxsyard.co.uk Wednesday 15th November - POOLE Mr.Kyps mrkyps.net
Tickets are a mere £6.00 so please try and support this venture.
Available from Craig at click2rock.net
Band details here: edenbridge.org adastreia.com
Cheers.

Thanks Wolf. I'm sure it'll be a great gig.
On the Wednesday they play in Poole, and as luck would have it i live in Poole, but then so does the organiser.
The club in Poole (Mr.Kyps) is a great little venue, some great bands have played there. Would you believe it we've even had the great Jeff Scott Soto here, here's the review if anyone's interested http://www.mrkyps.net/gigreviews.asp?ID=240
Cheers boys and girls.

Edenbridge last night (15 November 2006)
It was billed as "An evening of symphonica prog rock/metal". Well that it was.
I've got to be honest i knew nothing (and still don't really) of either Edenbridge, or the support band, Adastreia.
First up Adastreia. A strange combination, almost Testament like (the not so thrashy stuff) with the "angelic" vocals of say.......Charlotte Church. To start with i just couldn't warm to this unusual blend of styles, but as we progressed through the set i started tapping my toe and nodding my head and eventually thinking to myself that although not really to my taste they weren't half bad either.
Bang on 21:00 and Edenbridge took to the stage on this wet November night in front of over 100 folk. Although i've never been keen on this genre of music i have to say i was quickly "into" Edenbridge and songs like "October Sky" and "Flame Of Passion" were great. The unusual choice of the James Bond themed "For Your Eyes Only" i could probably have lived without and i did see one or two people pull "funny faces" as if to say "WTF is this all about". We were soon back on track and "The Road Goes On" was another great track. For me one of the songs that instantly appealed was the almost AOR sounding "On Top Of The World". I didn't get what the final song of the night was called, however the almost Stratovarius like tune rounded off a fine evenings entertainment.
The gig was also filmed for a future "Official Bootleg" DVD.
Speaking with Craig (the organiser) he was feeling pleased with the three date tour (tonight was the final night), especially when you consider he's not a professional promoter and he'd funded the tour himself. Monday in Bradford Edenbridge had a good turnout, they'd matched Doro and doubled Evergrey. Tuesday i think was ok and tonight in Poole was not bad at all for a band almost unknown in these parts.
I think it's safe to say Edenbridge had made a few new friends tonight.
Cheers

I'm so glad it went well MMM! Fans like Craig (and Bruce & Keiran of Firefest fame) need all the support they can muster. (Note to German friends here, this muster has nothing to do with "sample" or "specimen"!)

Thanks USDH.
Don't know if Craig will be venturing into anymore projects in the near future - if he does then "watch this space" as they say.
