Info
Saturday 18 April 2009 was almost at the end of an exhausting world tour for Jeff Scott Soto and his band, taking in dates right across Europe and the USA. Jeff’s new look & line-up had taken audiences by storm presenting songs spanning Jeff’s career and introducing tracks from his 2009 solo album release “Beautiful Mess”. Sala Heineken, in the centre of Madrid (Spain) was an intimate setting for an explosive and exciting show, saying a huge thanks to the many fans who have supported Jeff over the years. This is the complete show, including the famous “Funky Medley” and piano segments both adored by fans. Also included in this packed DVD are promo videos from all of Jeff’s solo albums and an exclusive tribute to Jeff’s dear friend and colleague Marcel Jacob.

Minus
|
• A good (but not brilliant) concert, brought by a complete new backing band for Jeff Scott Soto. • Sound and picture quality. • Great interface. • The tribute to Marcel Jacob. • Among the highlights are tasteful versions of “Drowning”, “Eyes Of Love”, “Testify”, “Frozen”, “Crazy” and – last but not least – “I’ll Be Waiting”. • Some of the new videos. |
|
• The set contained too many tracks from his last solo album, “Beautiful Mess”, which is the least interesting of all (read: too funky). Therefore, to me this is certainly not the definitive JSS solo live DVD! • Most of the “Goofballs” bonus material is bull****

Very entertaining as always with huge Musicians and huge Backing Vocals ! J.S.S. is brillant performing those tracks with energy and also as CL stated a lot of enthusiasm ! The mood is very much like a Friendly party and this is what a LIVE album SHOULD always be ? The DVD is even better than the CD !!! ******
